What is IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation / ICSI)?

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a treatment in which the ovaries are stimulated with hormone injections, the eggs are collected and fertilised with sperm in the laboratory, and the resulting embryo is placed in the womb.
