What is PRP Treatment (Platelet-Rich Plasma)?

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is prepared by spinning a small amount of your own blood in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. The plasma is then injected into the scalp for hair loss, into the skin for rejuvenation and scars, or into tendons and joints. Growth factors from the platelets are thought to support tissue repair. Results vary from person to person.
